Mediterranean Institute of Applied Sciences (MEDIAPS) is a non-profit science and technology research and educational institution.
Although the Institute was founded as recently as 2008, it has a stable team of renowned scientists and specialists with great experience
in the development and implementation of new technologies concerning space-land monitoring, sustainable development of territories,
computer science, virtual environment and their applications.

MEDIAPS mission is

- to promote Cyprus as one of the leading European research centres in the area of new technologies;

- to provide young people the opportunity to get the quality higher professional education, combining the best achievements of modern education and the great tradition of old European universities.

Objectives

MEDIAPS is an independent research and educational institute, which aim is the development of modern computer technology and their applications in science, industry and education. Professors and researchers of MEDIAPS have a great experience both in research and in education. In other words it is the scientists who have attained a high level of recognition in science, and who know how to teach students, graduates, future PhDs to come to the forefront of science, technology and "know-how" to successfully apply them in practice.

In studies conducted MEDIAPS, involved more than 60 leading experts in the fields of science and technology, such as computer science, mathematical physics, mathematical modelling, system and application programming, computational mathematics and cybernetics, information retrieval systems, virtual reality, telecommunications and computer network, database management systems and knowledge bases, electronic documents and digital libraries, system integration and project management, image processing and scenes, pattern recognition, scientific visualisation, neural networks, etc.
