Russian Branch of the IEEE Computer Society, Mediterranean Institute of Applied Science (Cyprus), Institute of Computing for Physics and Technology (Russia),
University of Nicosia (Cyprus) invite you to take part in the international conference MEDIAS-2012 on Informatics, which will be held from 7 to 14 May 2012 in Limassol (Cyprus).
In 2012 we celebrate 100 years since the birth of Alan Turing - one of the of the greatest mathematicians of the XX century, founder of computer science and theories of artificial intelligence,
whose work had an enormous impact the formation and development of computer science. A very important aspect of his scientific career was that he viewed computer science as part
of the one universal science, which originated thousands of years ago with the advent of writing and the first storage of documents that were necessary to classify, store and split into sections.
It is no accident that his works were devoted not only on computer science, but concerned the methodological issues of human development.
The Organising Committee also believes that computer science is only part of the universal informatics and invite to participate in the conference all who are interested in informatics -
both technical and humanitarian aspects.
As in previous years, the conference covers topics a very wide range of topics: from the development of computer applications systems to general issues
of human science, such as the concept of the interpenetration of two layers of cultural civilization - humanities, on the one hand, and the so-called exact sciences and technology, on the other.
